BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY
The I&E Operator aids with the installation, repair, and maintenance of equipment, instruments, and controls associated with oil and gas production facilities. These include but not limited to: Pneumatic devices and controls, electrical devices and controls, dump valves, hi low valves, liquid level sensors, measurement devices etc. Establishes new electric services to all production sites. Develops and applies an understanding of instrumentation and electrical issues and equipment. Is capable of working without direct supervision.
 
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent
 
EXPERIENCE
Requires a minimum of 3 years of related industry experience
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist with electric power installation on location
• Identifies need to planner/scheduler for work orders on electrical related repairs
• Ensure all electrical regulatory codes, standards and EHS protocols are met
• Provide electrical equipment data to MDM
• Make or assist with repairs on Electrical and Pneumatic equipment without direct supervision
• Maintain electrical compliance in conjunction with and through close coordination with Foreman and EHS.
• Secure and maintain all Company issued equipment, including but not limited to computers, vehicles and analysis or test equipment
• Willing to be on 24-hour call for repairs
• This position has the authority to stop work due to any non-safe activity
• Provide field wide contact with all personnel in the event of emergency or other significant occurrences
 
OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Practice safe work habits at all times
• Electrician experience
• Demonstrate commitment to Devon Attributes
• Basic computer skills
• Must possess state/province Journeyman license or equivalent Work within accordance of all city, state/province, and national codes
• Prior familiarity with oil and gas production, transportation, disposal, cathodic protection, instrumentation, Programmable Logic Controller, Automation, artificial lift, is preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work within a team environment
• Creative individual, capable of analyzing and solving mechanical problems
• Strong leadership, influencing and coaching skills
• Position requires operation of Company vehicles. Must meet requirements under company policy
