BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY
The Superintendent is responsible for promoting a safe and ethical work environment by providing direct leadership and efficient delegation of duties. The Superintendent is also responsible for implementing an efficient technical services organization that assists production personnel in optimizing oil and gas production and lease operating expenses through coordinating the efficient use of manpower and capital, providing various services, and providing technical expertise. The Superintendent will provide guidance and input that will lead to more efficient operations within the technical services group as well as providing. The Superintendent will recommend and administer plans and programs for providing technical services so that production personnel are equipped to maximize production, reduce costs, and improve operating efficiencies. In addition, the Superintendent should promote effective communication throughout the organization.


EDUCATION
High school degree or equivalent


EXPERIENCE
Requires a minimum of 10 years of oil and gas industry experience


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Must demonstrate safe and ethical behavior at all times

• Must efficiently manage operations of the Company’s assets, through effective delegation to staff
• Must efficiently manage staff in the implementation of the Capital and Expense projects identified by the Area’s Teams
• Must continually work to identify opportunities for improvements in cost efficiencies and problem areas and act on these opportunities within the limitations of the position’s authority
• Must ensure compliance, working with staff, Mgmt., and EHS support, for all regulatory, environmental, and safety issues
• Must maintain a positive working relationship with the production teams
• Must ensure, by direct management or appropriate delegation, the efficient operation of the technical services group
• Must work with appropriate parties to optimize staff levels and qualifications
• Must maintain positive relationship with Federal, State and local representatives, including surface owners, to more efficiently implement company programs
• Must have a service oriented attitude
• Position may require overnight travel and extended work hours on short notice
• Must provide recommendations for and optimization of I&E, Automation, SCADA, Chemical Programs, Maintenance and other Technical Services
 
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Must live or be willing to relocate to within a 55 mile driving radius of Weatherford field office           
• Good communication, both verbal and written
• Strong leadership, supervisory and coaching skills
• Creative individual, capable of analyzing and solving mechanical problems
• Must have demonstrated, applicable, Supervisory Experience
• Basic computer skills
