BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY
The Systems Analyst conducts and documents complex Application Services projects under minimal supervision and acts as a lead on the Planning team. Provides IT system support related to software, applications, and databases, business workflows and supports urgent business processes. This position will be deeply involved in the applications Mosaic, DSO, and Execute, and support corporate Planning/Portfolio/Reserve groups as well as Business Unit Planning functions.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, or other related field preferred; or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
EXPERIENCE
Requires a minimum of 5 years of related industry experience in Application Services
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop expertise with current Planning Application capabilities and solutions with a focus on continual improvement of processes and capabilities.
• Work closely with the Business Systems & Services teams to ensure that implemented solutions satisfy business requirements and are delivered in a timely manner.
• Recommend new or enhanced procedures and processes.
• Provide innovative solution alternatives.
• Design new and maintain existing data models for components of the DataHub
• Gather requirements where missing for projects
• Serve as subject matter expert on data modeling and master data management methods and tools.
• Keep current with industry trends and latest thinking to provide sound and innovative solutions.
• Collaborate and interface with members of our Architecture, Infrastructure, Integration, BI Reporting, ECM, and Business Facing groups within the Technology department as well as users within the business while gathering requirements, designing, developing, testing, and implementing solutions.
• Follow required Project Management, Data Management, Systems Development Life cycle and SOX compliance processes, ensuring that all proper handoffs, checklists, and documentation are completed.
• Encourage the sharing of information and data at the Enterprise level, and the viewing of information as a corporate asset.
• Adhere to the deliverables timeline for requirements gathering, business process, design, development, and testing of current and planned Business Intelligence solutions.
• Contribute to Business Intelligence best practices and artifacts creation/enhancements.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• SQL/Database Theory
• System Administration (Servers/SaaS)
• Familiarity with PowerBI/Spotfire/Snowflake/Databricks
• Experience in working with Software Vendors
• Self-Driven/Driver of others
• Oil and gas industry experience preferred
• Technical background in working with diverse technical configurations, technologies, and processing environments.
• Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation
• Strong leadership skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication
• Excellent analytical and technical skills
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
