POSITION SUMMARY

Devon Energy is looking for a Staff IT Auditor to join their audit team based out of Oklahoma City. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT auditing principles and practices, SOC 1 and SOC 2 processes and controls, as well as familiarity with cloud computing, SAP and other complex IT systems. They should also understand project management and data analytics. Under general supervision, the IT Auditor will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on IT audits of the company's systems and processes.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
    
•    Performs moderately complex IT audits independently and assists senior auditors on more complex IT audits
•    Understands and applies Institute of Internal Audit Standards, framework and concepts
•    Understands and applies ISACA standards and guidelines to promote IT governance, risk management and controls
•    Continues to develop, broaden and utilize technical skills by seeking direction from more senior auditors and by attending appropriate training
•    Understands industry-specific risks in the IT space
•    Demonstrates report writing skills and enhanced communication skills both written and oral
•    Demonstrates presentation and interview skills to effectively conduct audit work
•    Understands the control environment and can evaluate processes against controls, including Information Technology General Controls (ITGCs)
•    Demonstrates initiative in seeking additional responsibility and gaining knowledge beyond core responsibilities (e.g., striving to understand the big picture)
•    Stays up to date on industry trends and best practices
•    Assists in developing and promoting sound recommendations that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the business
•    May function as a project leader on less complex projects
•    Understands and can utilize data analytics in auditing
•    Individual should be organized, productive, dependable, deliver quality work products, be a team player, be adaptable to change and a problem solver

 PREREQUISITES    

•    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or a related field required
•    2-5 years external or internal audit experience (industry experience is a plus)
•    Strong understanding of IT auditing principles and practices
•    Familiarity with cloud computing of SAP
•    IT Experience (Architecture, Networking, Database Administration or Applications Development) preferred
•    CISA, CISSP or other certification preferred
•    NIST experience/exposure preferred
•    Data Analytics skills preferred
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills required
•    Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written
•    Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset
•    Experience using Microsoft Office
•    SAP, Power BI and ACL experience a plus
