BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY
The Reservoir Engineer assists in performs complex economic analyses of current and potential reserve levels and feasibility analysis for new drilling operations to increase company value and reach organizational goals. Works under minimal supervision.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
EXPERIENCE
Requires a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in oil and gas reservoir practices
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Analyze well reserve levels for economic value analysis and company reporting requirements according to established schedules
• Prepare comprehensive cash flow analyses and modeling for capital and expense projects
• Collect, analyze and summarize information and trends
• Manipulate data and makes appropriate business recommendations for meeting or exceeding requirements
• Participate in long range business planning by preparing quarterly production volume forecasts and projections
• Prepare cost comparisons on budgeted versus actual expenditures
• Conduct and provide economic analysis to determine the cost/benefit for potential dispositions and acquisitions of properties
• Evaluate internal production data and acquisition candidate data, and review project proposals and plans
• Develop production and reserve reports for regulatory and company reporting requirements
• Participate in special projects as assigned by management to optimize production processes and production equipment by increasing efficiencies and production levels and decreasing operating expenses
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks
• Assume additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Oil and gas industry experience preferred
• Practice safe work habits at all times

• Knowledge in state/province and federal regulatory laws and regulations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Creative individual, capable of analyzing and solving problems.
• Able to work independently
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively work within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve project related goals
• Efficient time management and the ability to concurrently handle multiple projects
• Intermediate Level computer skill
