BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY
The Planning Analyst is responsible for providing project management support to Asset Facilities and Infrastructure team. For active rig programs in the Delaware Basin South Asset Team, the Planning Analyst is responsible for the development and maintenance of the integrated program schedule with a focus on cost and schedule planning and progress monitoring.
 

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree preferred
 

EXPERIENCE
Requires a minimum of 5 years project management or scheduling experience; strong preference for oil and gas experience
 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for coordinating and formatting execution plans for delivery into the Field Development Plan
• Develop and maintain facilities and infrastructure project and program execution schedule(s)
• Conduct analysis and provide updates to leadership on project plans related to cost, schedule, and quality including variance analysis against plan and well cost duration models
• Support execution team in the planning and execution of facilities and infrastructure construction program(s) including reporting progress and variance to plan
• Responsible for effective risk, issue and change management processes; proactively communicates and escalates risks and issues that may impact the execution plan
• Interfaces with Marketing team to ensure coordination and execution of projects related to third party contracts that provide product flow assurance
• Create reports and presentations supporting business performance reporting
• Proactively collaborate and interface with stakeholders to manage cost, schedule and quality of the facilities and infrastructure construction program(s)
• Develop and maintain planning, project management, budgeting and upstream E&P Operations competency
• Responsible for coordinating and ensuring timeliness of process for capital budget.
• Assume additional responsibilities and perform special projects as needed or directed.
• Maintain and increase professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks.
• Act with a mindset of continuous improvement and with a commercial mindset
 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Good understanding of project management principles and tools; strong organization and planning competency
• Upstream Oil and Gas Industry Experience and knowledge of Devon processes preferred
• Demonstrated experience applying statistical concepts, scheduling (critical path analysis), ability to understand data architectures for the purposes of data retrieval, consolidation, and analysis.  Demonstrated competence in developing visual models and scenario analysis
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively work within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve project related goals
• Strong business acumen and creativity; capable of analyzing and solving problems
• Practice safe work habits at all times
• Demonstrate commitment to Devon Attributes
• Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills; facilitating and leading effective discussions and meetings to achieve defined goals
• Able to work independently
• Intermediate level computer skills
