Summary
The Organizational Development & Learning Professional is responsible for working with fellow HR team members, organizational leaders, and teams to assess professional and leadership development needs, design, deliver and then evaluate the effectiveness of custom learning solutions.  Support Devon leaders and teams with development consulting and coaching for increased engagement and performance. 

 

Responsibilities 

 

Learning Program Design:
Design strategically aligned and impactful learning programs and experiences for various audiences and levels across Devon.

• Identify and assess organizational, leader and team learning needs.
• Develop clear and instructionally sound learning objectives, content and materials based on identified learning needs.
• Assess and apply various delivery media and select the most appropriate solution(s).

 

Learning Program Delivery:
Deliver strategically aligned and impactful learning programs and experiences for various audiences and levels across Devon.

• Deliver employee professional and leadership development training programs.
• Support the facilitation of established leader programs as needed.
• Deliver other learning programs as needed.

 

Special Projects: 
Lead and/or support Learning & Org Development projects as needed.  

• Participate in the selection of public schedule programs and how and when they are offered based on collaboration with Devon leaders and teams. 
• Actively participate in the Devon Learning Network.
• Lead and/or support the results of other special projects as needed.

 

Individual & Team Development Coaching and Consulting:
Provide individual and team coaching and consulting support as needed.

• Provide individual leader coaching following the Devon coaching process in collaboration with Devon HR Business Partners.
• Provide group process and individual leader development consulting and support as needed.
• Become certified if not already to conduct individual coaching as needed.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

• Demonstrated experience managing multiple learning programs concurrently is vital.

• Experience delivering training and support to adult learners using a range of methods (e.g., conversational facilitation, cases, scenarios, lectures, interactive simulations, etc.).
• The ability to quickly get up to speed on new learning content areas and adjust facilitation style to learner needs.
• Prior experience developing leaders is required.

• Strong relationship building skills, sound organizational savvy, exceptional commitment to setting and achieving ambitious goals, a growth mindset, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Ability to manage stakeholder needs and expectations.
• Effective communicator with strong presence and experience in facilitation.

• Ability to prioritize and manage competing needs effectively.


Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Org Development, Business Administration, or related field. A master’s in education, organizational psychology, or other advanced degree is a plus.

• Experience in the energy / oil and gas industry a definite plus.
• Must have demonstrated understanding of adult learning concepts, practices, procedures.
• 5+ years of experience in training, instructional design and facilitation required.

• Leadership assessments and coaching certifications a plus.
• Proficient with MS Office products including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Word.
