BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY 
The Contracts Administration Manager develops and supervises a team of Contract Administration and Marketing Compliance professionals with focus on providing multifaceted supplier data analysis in order to report and respond to inquiries regarding contracts and insurance problems and statistics. Is a key deal team member from point of initial discussions through negotiation, execution and implementation of complex, multi-contract transactions.  Troubleshoots and offers solutions for problems involving the integration of various programs that support contract and contractor data systems.  Issues contracts and handles related processes.
 
EDUCATION 
Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Finance, Economics, or other related Business field
 
EXPERIENCE 

Requires a minimum of 12 years of related industry experience in Energy Marketing & Midstream with a minimum of 7 years of direct or indirect supervisory experience
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervise, develop, and mentor a staff of professionals who lead the preparation and revision of contracts
• Provide leadership and training to subordinates and quality service to customers (both internal and external)
• Coordinate legal research of options and strategy related to regulatory impacts associated with the group’s activities in transactions (i.e., FERC, TX RRC, BLM).
• Manage filing of Annual FERC forms related to Natural Gas Transactions
• Develop and manage reports and summaries of our transport contract inventory, outstanding commitments, and achievement of commitments
• Assess existing contract management systems and determine fit for purpose
• Develop and manage centralized contract management notifications
• Support drafting of agreements, specifically including crucial language regarding waivers, assignments and contract exhibits.
• Manage deal pre-planning with the pipelines, including credit and collateral processes and step-by-step implementation planning. 
• Provide research and consultation on gas and oil regulatory questions in support of commercial activity in Gas Marketing, Crude Marketing and Midstream subjects such as credit and collateral requirements, permanent vs temporary release rules, AMA rules, interstate vs intrastate oil regulation, gas gathering exemption rules 
• Lead support efforts for internal and external audits
• Coordinate and lead assessment of major risk exposures to Devon emanating from activities or responsibilities within the Marketing and Midstream functions.
• May represent Marketing for companywide projects to review and update business continuity plans,
• Participate actively with senior management in the development, implementation, and communication of the company's strategic business plan
 
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Strong leadership, supervisory and coaching skills
• Knowledge of oil and gas industry markets and suppliers, market trends and regulatory issues
• Knowledge of regulation tariffs and oversight
