This position requires exceptional organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and team collaboration. Must be able to manage multiple priorities, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to be flexible and adjust quickly to new tasks and assignments while supporting multiple people and organizational areas. SUMMARY
The Hospitality Associate, working under direct supervision, is responsible for supporting the Conference Center. Provides on-site support in the delivery of conference center services. Responsibilities include working closely with internal clients to plan, schedule and implement meetings held within a designated conference center, facilitating catering, troubleshooting audio-visual technology and general meeting administration. The role contributes to maintaining industry-standard cleanliness and functionality in hospitality facilities, promoting organizational well-being and productivity. 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION
• Completes routine operational tasks, under direct supervision, and develops skills, supporting change efforts and participating in continuous improvement initiatives for Hospitality department. 

• Develops basic hospitality industry knowledge, accesses relevant data services, and gains awareness of industry practices, fostering effective working relationships and learning from subject matter experts. 
• Apply knowledge of Event Management software system and SOPs to schedule conference center meeting request, answer basic/standard inquires and email daily reporting. 
• Assist in facilitating catering services and conference room readiness, includes room setups, providing easels, flip charts, whiteboards, and table linens for events. 

• Assist with basic audio-visual equipment, as needed. 
• Maintains inventory of all supplies including linen inventory and facilitating dry-cleaning services. 
• Conducts weekly site inspections of meeting rooms and contacts the necessary department if items require service. 

• Assist and provide coverage for Hospitality and Office Services Teams as needed. 
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned. 

 

EDUCATION
• High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)/Higher Secondary education and/or commensurate work experience is required. Bachelor's Degree, preferred, but not required.

 

EXPERIENCE
Hospitality or related industry experience is preferred.

 

PREREQUISITES
• Eagerness to learn new processes.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 

• Ability to work effectively with others or independently in a highly collaborative work environment taking direction from the supervisor, and team members while supporting others within the organization. 
• Strong Interpersonal skills capable of cultivating and maintaining excellent working relationships with a variety of disciplines.

• Strong organization and conflict management skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
