The Financial Analysis Staff/Sr. Staff Accountant will work under general to limited supervision to conduct and document routine financial analysis, calculate monthly accruals for LOE/Capital, and create and maintain expenditure master data in SAP.  Performs accounting tasks including expenditure master data, manual journal entries, account reconciliations, analyses and complex calculations, process and system improvements, and provides customer service to accounting and operations teams as needed.
Bachelor’s degree required - Accounting/Finance preferred
2-3 years oil and gas accounting experience required; 3-7 years preferred


• Develop an understanding of the principles, theories and concepts of accounting and apply them to assignments such as preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation and analysis of financial data 
• Develop and apply an understanding of financial and accounting analysis and problem solving
• Calculate and book monthly accruals for Capital, or LOE
• Present monthly Financials to Accounting Management
• Create/maintain Expenditure Master Data in SAP
• Provide support to operations and accounting teams as needed
• Provides support to team members on complex tasks and projects
• Assists in identifying, developing, and implementing process efficiencies and enhancements
• Other duties as assigned
• Able to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities/tasks and manage deadlines
• SAP experience a plus
• Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and oil and gas accounting; thorough knowledge and skilled application preferred
• Able to communicate financial and technical information clearly and concisely
• Planning and organization
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Evaluates and recommends solutions based on technical analysis; ability to identify and diagnose problems preferred
• Demonstrates initiative in developing technical skillset and knowledge base
