BASIC ACCOUNTABIITY
The Facilities Technician is primarily responsible for the maintenance of office spaces to meet organizational standards and to ensure that workplaces remain comfortable, operate efficiently, and effectively contribute to our employees’ productivity.
 
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or equivalent
 
EXPERIENCE
5 years’ experience working in commercial office space. 
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
• Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service skills.
• Organized, detail oriented, self-motivated.
• Strong working knowledge of facilities and property management.
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Furniture installation, maintenance, reconfiguration, relocation, repair and inventory management.
• Extensive experience with DIRTT wall installation, maintenance, reconfiguration, inventory and procurement processes.
• Assist with office moves and restacking as needed.
• Decommission and make ready office spaces.
• Regular inspections of assigned properties and the preparation of property condition and recommended maintenance reports.
• Perform minor construction or corrective maintenance which may include drywall repair, paint touch up, flooring installation/replacement, ceiling tile installation/replacement, door/hardware adjustments/repairs and other miscellaneous carpentry.
• Perform and general plumbing, mechanical, and electrical repair.
• Assist with the coordination of vendors and contractors engaged to perform preventative maintenance or major construction/repair.
• Ability to understand, follow and enforce safety procedures.
 
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Other tasks as assigned.
• Ability to travel up to 30%.
