BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY
The Oil and Gas Production Facilities Technologist supports the engineering staff with moderately complex project work which involves the retrieval, input, preparation, and management of data in addition to executing basic project management/planning practices.  Develops an understanding of production facility engineering, planning, and construction cost management practices.  Desires to use analytic and problem-solving skills to find unique, scalable solutions for the team.  Desired candidate will have an analytical background, self-starter, excellent communication, and works under general supervision.

 

EDUCATION

High school diploma or GED
Prefer related Associate Degree or Technical Degree

 

EXPERIENCE
Pipe designer/drafting experience preferred.

Preferred candidate will have 5 years of experience working in the oil and gas industry as a technologist, data analyst, data management, systems analyst, software developer, or business analyst. 
Entry level candidate will be considered with a related associate degree or technical degree.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  •     Production Facility and Pipeline Project look backs
  •     Production Facility Database Tool Updates
  •     Attend weekly planning meetings
  •     Manage execution changes and updates 
  •     WBS generation and supplements
  •     Updating/managing facility and pipeline cost calculators
  •     Siteview cost entry and data quality review
  •     Monthly accrual review with engineering and construction
  •     Updates to facility database tool
  •     Manage date changes/updates from planning 
  •     Assist with the forecasting of equipment and materials 
  •     Working with Supply Chain for planning call outs of facility and pipeline equipment
  •     Assist the engineer with finalizing and publishing construction documents from an established 3D  Model
  •     Adding attributes to the established model such as line numbers and part identifiers
  •     Run statistical analysis on part usage from the model BOM vs field usage
  •     Generation of modules and project documentation for construction
  •     Provides support with software systems and data entry for field and engineering teams
  •     Organize and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

 

  •     Experience with data visualization tools, such as PowerBI, Spotfire, etc.
  •     Familiar with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
  •     Basic understanding of programming language is a plus
  •     Practice safe work habits at all times
