The ESG Professional supports the company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and sustainability strategy, performance, reporting, and engagement. This position reports to the ESG and Sustainability Manager and works closely with cross-functional teams to further advance the company’s performance. This position supports both general and specific ESG and sustainability-related areas, with an emphasis on climate, environmental, and safety performance.
Bachelor’s degree
4 years related experience in ESG, sustainability, environmental, health and safety, or the energy industry preferred
• Support the company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and sustainability programs
• Serve as a subject-matter expert and advise on ESG and sustainability related matters
• Drive alignment of ESG and sustainability strategy and priorities throughout the organization and work with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities to advance the company’s performance
• Foster a culture of ESG and sustainability through ongoing organizational engagement, communication, and education
• Monitor emerging trends and best practices in ESG and sustainability reporting, disclosure, engagement, performance, and initiatives
• Monitor fundamental drivers and developments in global energy markets to inform medium- and long-term sustainability and climate-related strategies
• Aid in the collection, preparation, and analysis of ESG and sustainability data to help track and drive substantive progress across the company
• Monitor and track progress against ESG performance metrics, goals, and targets
• Support ESG and sustainability reporting, framework alignment, and disclosure
• Participate and engage with ESG ratings firms and assessments, understanding the mechanisms behind the ratings and developing strategies to drive performance improvements
• Monitor emerging regulatory, legislative, and other policy developments and proactively identify potential impact to the company
• Represent the company across various internal and external stakeholders in a way that demonstrates a commitment to the company’s values and supports the company’s objectives, goals, and targets

• Possess strong business acumen with understanding of corporate sustainability matters
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills and verbal and written communication skills
