We are seeking a Data Management Professional with a focus on Production Accounting and Production Operations. This role is in the Technology Organization and is pivotal in solving business challenges through effective data management, integration, reporting, and analysis. The ideal candidate will ensure that data-driven projects align with our business objectives, requiring strong teamwork and communication skills. This role involves developing data quality standards, processes, and providing training to ensure stakeholders have access to timely, reliable, and accurate data for analysis and decision-making.

 

EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s degree required.

 

EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of five years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, with roles such as Production Accountant/Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Management Specialist, Systems Analyst, Software Developer, or Business Analyst. Prior experience in supporting or being involved with Production Accounting and Production Operations is essential.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide first-line technical support to users experiencing issues with Peloton Prodview, including troubleshooting problems related to software functionality, data integrity, system performance and accounting setup.

• Design and implement standardization methods for data acquisition, reporting, integration, and visualization across Business Units.
• Conduct training and onboarding for new and existing employees on data management practices involving ProdView and production accounting data. 
• Create, maintain, and distribute training materials and documentation on production-related processes and reporting requirements.

• Drive continuous improvement of business intelligence processes and capabilities, integrating new business solutions seamlessly.
• Collaborate with Production Operations teams and other stakeholders to understand data needs, develop solutions, and communicate technical requirements for implementation.
• Address data quality issues, promote best practices in data management and reporting, and develop new reporting solutions.

• Utilize advanced data management and analytics tools (e.g., Peloton Prodview, Snowflake, OSIsoft PI, Power BI, Spotfire) to prepare integrated datasets.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with business unit accountants, data consumers, engineers, and engineering technicians/technologists.
• Advocate for data management best practices, including governance policies, standard processes, and the benefits of data management.

• Profile and measure data quality, applying correction rules to enhance data integrity and support business use.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Proficiency in use and configuration of Peloton ProdView product for the purposes of field data capture and production accounting 

• Advanced data management and analytical skills
• Self-motivated with a keen eye for detail
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

• Deep understanding of data management and governance principles, especially in Production Accounting/Operations data 
• Technical proficiency in industry-standard production data capture and management applications such as Peloton ProdView, SAP – PRA
• Strong SQL skills for data querying and analysis

• Experience in building, maintaining, and training on corporate business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI and Spotfire
