BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY
Conducts financial analysis for potential business development alternatives under minimal supervision. Analysis includes valuation (NAV, trading comparables and transaction comparables), business intelligence and competitor surveillance as well as participating in strategic discussions and M&A process execution.  
 
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or other related Business field.  Engineering, Science or other quantitatively oriented degrees also may be considered.
History of outstanding academic achievement.
 
EXPERIENCE
Requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience in finance and energy specific valuation. 
Energy industry experience strongly preferred.
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Research and analyze industry and company specific financial and operational results
• Screen possible merger and acquisition transactions and evaluate pro forma financial information
• Manage financial model and valuation for potential acquisition or divestiture processes
• Interface and coordinate with external advisors around acquisition or divestiture specific projects 
• Analyze financial information to produce forecasts of businesses or assets to make investment decisions
• Present oral and written reports on selected alternatives to leadership team 
 
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Oil and Gas industry experience preferred
• Strategic thinker able to conduct detailed financial evaluation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including comfort in presenting analysis to leadership team
• Advanced level computer skills (Excel, Powerpoint, FactSet, Bloomberg, etc.)
• Able to work within a team environment
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Able to handle multiple competing priorities
• Professional Finance or Accounting certification or MBA preferred
• Practice safe work habits at all times
• Demonstrate commitment to Devon Attributes
