BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY
The Aviation Technologist assists in the responsibilities for the overall Aviation Maintenance program. Perform all phases of aircraft maintenance on any and all aircraft and engine types, which may be owned and operated by the company. Provides timely, on-demand delivery of safe, clean, and airworthy aircraft that meet the legal requirements of the Federal Air Regulations and company standards. Acts independently on assessing issues regarding maintenance status and repair of company aircraft. Independently assumes responsibility to evaluate, assess, and repair aircraft systems, order aircraft parts, and return aircraft to service. Independently responsible for inspecting and evaluating aircraft logbooks to maintain compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations compliance.
EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE
Requires a minimum of 5 years of related industry experience in Aviation Maintenance with 3 years of experience as a Senior Technician
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform all assignments in accordance with all regulations and manufacturer's specifications
• Assist in coordinating all aircraft inspections
• Keep the Manager of Aircraft Maintenance advised on maintenance assignment progress, related problems, and recommendation of spare parts inventory
• Properly execute all forms required in conjunction with maintenance assignments within his/her limitations
• Preserve and protect all units or parts during the repair process
• Monitor the performance of maintenance by other Aircraft Technicians when assigned
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Aircraft Maintenance or the Aviation Manager
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Practice safe work habits at all times

• Requires valid Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics Certificate
• Knowledge of the national regulations and standards relating to aircraft maintenance
• Inspector Authorization Certificate
