Job Profile Summary:

The Senior Staff Security Professional, working independently with limited supervision, is responsible for developing an effective criminal intelligence program covering all operational locations of the organization. The role ensures development of a security intelligence policy for the organization and determination of short- and long-range security goals and directives, policies, and operating procedures. This role manages personnel engaged in investigative functions within the organization and provides inputs during the planning of new projects to protective patrol operations, conduct investigations and conduct security audits. The role conducts Security Vulnerability assessments using data supplied by field security investigators or other security management.

Job Description:

  • Leads concurrent workstreams, mentors less-experienced security professionals, and initiates change, driving improvements within the security intelligence department, working independently under minimal supervision.
  • Cultivates effective relationships with Law Enforcement Agencies and professional security organizations, shares intelligence information, and provides influence over workstreams and peer groups, demonstrating understanding of industry best practices.
  • Oversees proactive collection, analysis and reporting of intelligence information to concerned stakeholders under minimal supervision and determines and pursues course of action necessary to obtain desired results and makes recommendations for action by investigators.
  • Researches and writes in-depth reports and advisories on criminal intelligence matters and security risks to employees and operations, company wide.
  • Fulfills roles within the Incident Command System and executes organization's security education and awareness program.
  • Provides supervision and leadership of contract security team and conducts, reports, and tracks security audits; Provides rapid assessments of potentially imminent security situations, sensitive developments, and complex threat issues.
  • Works with the corporate security management under minimal supervision including in preparing briefs, maintaining internal and external contacts that focus on threat and risk issues etc.
  • Works with senior investigators in gathering data, conducting interviews, searching records, securing signed documents performing surveillance, and preparing reports for alleged or suspected violations of laws or regulations concerning criminal and/or civil investigations, fraud, proprietary properties, and computer crimes and providing technical investigative services

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Security Management or any other related discipline and/or commensurate work experience is required.

Experience:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience, preferably in areas such as Security Operations, Law Enforcement, Incident Response and Investigations or a related field. Industry experience is preferred.

Certifications:

  • Hold and continue to meet the requirements for the applicable state, county, and municipal license for security officers (required)
