BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY 
The Asset Integrity Operator is responsible for corrosion mitigation strategies, risk assessments, ensuring compliance with applicable industry codes, and providing integrity management support.  Works under general supervision.   

 

EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent  

 

EXPERIENCE 
Requires a minimum of 3 years in a technical field position in the oil & gas industry 
Prefer NACE/AMPP, AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), API 510, 570, 653 certifications and Mechanical Integrity Inspection experience  

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Must be a self-starter

• Perform corrective and preventative tasks based on work order
• Read and interpret codes, standards, and recommended practices
• Provide any equipment changes to Master Data Maintainer (MDM) 

• Inspect tank refurbishment process
• Conduct NORM and surveys & Benzene testing
• Inspect bonding wires, integrity of retainer walls, internal & external tank surfaces, etc.

• Wellsite Inspection – SPCC Provide risk assessment, and integrity management support to the production operations group
• Develop and prepare formal reports on inspections conducted and asset failures

• Gather and analyze technical data to optimize production with the goal to minimize cost and asset failures
• Work with the team to implement failure analysis reviews for corrosion induced failures; report results of reviews during monthly chemical reviews

• Prioritize projects, monitor costs and results, and make recommendations to optimize production, processes and equipment
• Develop and implement SOP’s and technical documents
• Perform internal and external tank inspections

• Monitor and repair cathodic protection equipment, meeting cathodic protection program requirements, to ensure a complimentary and cost effective approach to asset longevity
• Review surface equipment failure database and analyze data with intent to improve equipment reliability

• Provide technical training to production personnel 
• Maintain regulatory, environmental and safety compliance

• Possess the right and obligation to stop work if unsafe conditions exist or are suspected
• Demonstrate and promote safe and ethical behavior at all times

• Perform other duties as assigned
